Mahavidya Temple a
Quantum-Sound Healing Center
uses the Sound of the
Mahavidyas - The Great Wisdom Goddess.
Greeting to all our readers, 2010 is going to turn out as a grand year for IFC Temple of Divine Love
Netherlands and The Mahavidya Temple in India, and wish the same for all. It is the year governed by
Jupiter, a year to focus on gaining wisdom..
May the Divine Mother bless all with strength, so that you, the reader, can have
a very prosperous New Year as she has done for us at the center in India! It is
true to us especially when I (Devanayagi (Edith)) returned to India from Sri
Lanka after a reawakening experience, as I was in the middle of it all, the
flood, on December 26 2004. Waking up late prevented my girlfriend and me to be
at the beach, instead we were in a café having breakfast, which was hit as well,
with the blessing of the Divine Mother; the flood dragged me into an open door
of a house, which was closed minutes after my entering the house. Few minutes
late, and I would not be here to write this.
With this experience in Sri Lanka, I am extremely committed to worshiping the
Mahavidya, and this feeling has become stronger, and serving the needy kids in
Killangulam. This situation has also has made way for Shri Param and my working
energy, now he sees me more as a partner, not just as a student.
As such, I am committed to the greatest path of discipline, Siddha Vidyas, a
line of quest, which assures fulfillment of ones spiritual growth or worldly
needs. It is The Divine Mother and Shri Param who has been there for me, in the time of need,
on the day of the even, not knowing what was happening got my name inscribed on
a Shri Chakra at Mother Kali's Temple, I do not know if it was providence or what.
For years, Shri Param has been worshiping the Mahavidya, and over the past few
years, he has been presenting to the world a new way of using the Mantras of the
Maha Vidyas for the purpose of LOVE and healing or what he calls "the Divine
Dance of Love". Mantras are meant to empower the microcosm instead of the Macrocosm.
The Macrocosm does does not need to be empowered, but the microcosm (us) need
empowerment. Mantras traveling within abd around us serves both the microcosm and the
macrocosm.
Why the Maha Vidyas.
The Tantra believes of the One Supreme God/Goddess or Para Brahman, presiding
over everything, and at the same time admitting the existence of various
deities, also called as Gods and Goddess. These deities are energy of Para
Brahman, who is both female and male.
Each of the deities deriving the power from the Supreme to take their part and
act or preside over their spheres of domain.
The Supreme is far above the highest heavens of human reach, and at the same
time, there are the cardinal deities. They are so many facets of the One Truth,
the Supreme Brahman who has many powers and personalities and are different and
distinct in their functions, and out of the supreme comes all the deities, and
of these deities the most popularly ones in the highest heaven are the Maha
Vidyas. Each Goddess of the Maha Vidya has a special and distinct function in
the Universe, has a distinct field of activity and presides over a particular
realm in the cosmic kingdom, and in the human body.
Each of the goddesses help humans in their spiritual progress, aid them in
their uphill task of reaching the summit, the Supreme. The home where all humans
have to return, and for which One takes many births, seeking to return home.
Tantra popularly known as Mantra Sastra, acclaimed as a great Sadhana Sastra,
practical science. The mantra of the Goddess can be used for spirituality and
material things as well, as these are the foundations on which the completely
spiritual structure stands.
The creative word “Vak” of the Veda becomes the Nada, the Adya Spanda, the
primal throb that develops in the course of its manifestation into the
seed-sounds, Bijasaras. These find a place in the formulation of Mantras that
emerge from the direst revelation and inspiration of the Tantric Seers. With the
Maha Vidyas, the Bija sounds are the most important, and so as used in our work
of sound healing. During our Masters travels in the west he has met many who
claim to teach or practice Tantra, and yet do not practice the basic
fundamentals of Tantra, the Mantra.
The Sanskrit word vidya is from the root Vid, to know or to understand. Vidya
means learning of knowledge denotes the way to understand the path of knowledge.
An extract from Dr David Frawley’s book Tantra Yoga and the wisdom goddess.
“Tantra is associated with the worship of the Goddess, the feminine aspect of
divinity, and this is one of its prime feature. Tantra provides a completely
spiritual science for the worship of the Divine Mother, not merely a set of
beliefs or dogmas but a practical way of developing our higher awareness through
Her Wisdom and Her Grace. For those seeking to understand the religion of the
Divine Mother, Hindu Tantra is perhaps the best key”.
For those wanting to understand the science of Love, Wisdom and Grace, Tantra
Teacher Training or Para-Tan Sound healing, offers a unique opportunity for all
men and women to experience the worship of the living Goddess, WOMAN and the
Goddess within MAN.
Para-Tan Sounding helps in the development the subtle Doshas of Prana, Tejas and
Ojas. Para-Tan love art increases Tejas (the spiritual energy of fire of
digestion) and Ojas (latent energy, the spiritual energy of water, underlying
fluid energy reserve for the entire psychophysical being, underlying capacity
for patience and mental endurance). For spiritual growth, Tejas is the most
important factor, for with insufficient Tejas, one will lack the clarity and
decisiveness to really accomplish anything. Lack of Prana, the spiritual energy
of Air in the body, there is danger of being ungrounded or instability, which
will in turn disrupt the basic equilibrium of the body and mind.
Prana is sound vibration, nada, that which exist within space. Bija sounds have
a very strong effect for de-conditioning the mind and aligning the nervous
system with the cosmic life force, which in turn free the recipient of most
illness.
While mantra is specifically for Tejas, many mantras are useful for Prana as
well, mainly bija sound of Mother Kali and Sarasvati. Mother Kali’s bija sound
will help increase the Pranic force, for it aids in separating the Prana from
its identification with the physical body. Her bija sound also helps one to
accomplish work that is beyond One’s own capacity, and Goddess Sarasvati’s bija
sound will increase our intellectual function, including a broader creativity
and comprehension, as opposed to sometime narrow perception of Jejas. Planet
Buddhi (Mercury) will help, One to be objective, thus not allowing One’s mind to
dwell on the outer aspects of the object, and its changing appearances. It helps
One to look direct at things without the veil of opinions, judgments, likes and
dislikes of the conditioned mind. The inner energy of Prana, Tejas and Ojas
manifest naturally if One reside in the integrity and independence of One’s own
nature.
The most important mantra for improving the power of speech is the Panchadasi
mantra, the fifteen-fold syllable of Sundari. This mantra also help one develop
Ojas and Prana, as it is very balancing. Lord Krishna’s mantra helps to increase
the love aspect of Ojas. The Moon and Lord Shiva gives us peace of mind. Lord
Ganesh, he symbolizes strength, the ability to overcome obstacles, and
uninterrupted development of energy, and important aspect of Ojas.
By Dr David Frawley “If one tries to develop Tejas or Prana without the proper
Ojas to support them, many difficulties can occur. This is the cause of most
so-called Kundalini and meditational disorders happening today. Such disorders
usually involve derangement of Prana, Tejas and Ojas, not necessarily anything
relative to the Kundalini itself, which is very seldom aroused accidentally”
With Para-Tan, we help to arouse Kundalini Devi very gently and safely, by first
balancing Prana, Tejas and Ojas. Para-Tan practices are part of a subtle science
of SOUND to develop and harness latent powers behind the mind-body system. One
cannot expect to develop the skills to use subtle Mother energies if one does
not approach it with at least the same amount of patience and determination,
Maturity of Mind, Love for the self and the outer world, and most important of
all is integrity.
Para-Tan can activate and integrate Prana, Tejas and Ojas, thus bringing about
the liberation of One’s consciousness and the realization of the atman (self)
and the Divine Mother (the absolute).
At our center in India, we practice daily Fire ritual (Agni homa), to activate
the fire that dwells at the base of the spine in the form of the Kundalini
Sakthi, which has a fiery nature. Agni is placed in a kunda or alter on the
ground, which inwardly is the earth center, or the base chakra.
Agni and Kundalini is also the essence of speech. The earth center is composed
of the various bija mantras or root sound energy patterns. These bija mantras
are depicted as the garland around the neck of the Goddess.
Each and every bija mantra sound have different effect and a clear understanding
of it helps One to use Sound Healing in the most effect way. One has to know
which sound to use, how and where in the body of the recipient it is to be used.
Mother Kali has been showing new sound and method at each level of the training
offered, yet has never given all the secrets, all at once. The real force of her
teaching started with students in Holland, and each group was only given a small
portion.
It is difficult for most Westerners to focus on the spiritual aspect of life
over duration of time. They are brought up in the quick fix society, as such do
not have the patience to learn the full or without the ego being in the way.
They need a seer, and treat him as if a friend they meet in the pub. The Indian's
see Shri Param as a Seer, we see him as just a sound healer, and there is the
difference, of what we receive from Mother through him and what they receive.
Para-Tan, like Tantra is a practice for those who seek spiritual growth. In
India, when one enters the field of Tantra, he or she thinks in terms of years,
without considering the thoughts of being a Guru or teacher for many years, yet
in the west most want to be teacher in One year, and in my experience many feel
that one year is too long, a month will be better.
As such we have both, for those who seek true growth, and those
who just want to learn, to fulfill their thirst for knowledge, not necessary
real sustainable growth.

Tantra the Way of Life, talk
given by The Father of Para-Tan and Master of the Living Goddess Tradition and
founder of the Mahavidya Temple in South India,
Shri Param Eswaran
Sri Renee Jeffus speaks about her experience after attending
the Para-Tan Sound Intensive
LOVE IS THE POWER OF THE UNIVERSE and it is only through the light and way
of love that we may raise our vibration and reclaim our inner divinity. Para Tan
utilizes ancient sacred sounds to break up cellular memory and circulate Shakti
aka LOVE aka SOUND through the body. This feeling of love is the orgasmic bliss
of cosmic union with divinity within and around us.
